School Camp Accommodation@Kopinga Marae
Kopinga Marae is the perfect venue for your next class or school camp because it has everything that you will need to make your camp a great success.
Accommodation facilities include: mattresses and pillows for 65 people, a commericial kitchen that can, and has, catered for hundreds, massive bathroom facilities and disabled toilets and showers, acres of lawns for kids to run around on, fantastic views and plenty to keep them occupied.
Accommodation is Marae style, with shared sleeping quarters in the main whare. The whare can actually sleep over 100 people with ease and comfort, but for health and safety reasons we are limited to accommodating 60 persons per night. Which is great for you, because that means that you'll have heaps of room for your class.
All that you need to bring, for accommodation on your school camp, is a sleeping bag or duvet, a towel and toiletries and to bring your food with you. Everything else is here.

You may find that when you put a newsletter out to your parent community, suggesting a school camp at Kopinga Marae, that you have more interested parents than what you anticipated, or needed. Remembering that you need your parent-student ratios, and that only 60 persons can stay overnight at Kopinga, an option is that those "extra" parents, that are really enthusiastic about travelling to Rekohu, may want to stay at a different location, but join the school group each day. The perfect location for this is Henga Lodge. Comfortable, warm and friendly.
